Whats interesing is that Jesus Himself prophesied that there would come a time when man would have the ability to destroy the earth, this was 2000 years ago when no one could have known that man could pollute the earth:

Matthew 24:22 "And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened."

Revelation 11:18 "And the nations were angry, and your wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that you should give reward to your servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear your name, small and great; and shall destroy those who destroy the earth."

Now, was he talking about the government, corporations, and the kingdoms of man here that would be destroyed for destroying the earth? We are told in "Jude 14" that the LORD Himself comes back to this planet with a massive army of many millions, to make war with the armies of man.

So there is actually a lot of truth to it, and its not stupidity at all if you just look at it.
