The only reason that's unreasonable is because we probably won't have arrived yet. If we, as a species, survive to the year 2500, I'd be willing to bet that by then we'll at least have a ship on the way to a distant earth-like planet.
the tech. singularity will occur far sooner that that, and by 2500 we certainly will have discovered many planets capable of habitation by biological organisms. i don't think that will have much appeal to a completely non-biological intelligent species though o.O
