No, not even in the least. There's lots of other fucked up shit going on that may lead some to believe the end of the world is approaching. This is defiantly not one of those signs though. This shit happens all the time, its so common that it isn't reported unless its a really slow news day and the 24 hour news channels feel like stirring up some hysteria.

mass deaths of animals happen several times per year. the cause is usually not known. for some reason this year people are tracking it and spreading it over the internet.
