LCA is last common ancestor. google is your friend

assuming they were very hairy millions of years ago --> from wikipedia (for my lack of googling more valid sources) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hair -->

i never said africa wasnt a warm location... the reason darker skin is favored is due to protection from radiation. having tree cover, which iirc, is what africa was like in parts of the continent years ago. which goes to your next part where you wrongly assume hot places favor darker skin when it should be sites of stronger radiation favor darker skin. Correlation is not causation

, i thought we were talking about millions of years ago?

IIRC, Mitochondrial Eve is the first Homo Sapiens. Don't care enough to Google it right now, but it's possible to have a LCA with Chimpanzees that's millions of years ago while having Homo Sapiens only be within the past couple hundred thousand years. This is especially due to the fact that Homo Sapiens is not the first species in the Homo genus. There's also Habilis, Erectus, etc, that predate Sapiens.

ya, and that lines up correctly with the time Homo sapiens would have been around. IIRC the common belief is that both homo sapiens and Neanderthals were coexisting during the same time period, and then the Neanderthals just "disappeared."

the only reason i said why did he include the mitochondrial eve is because his main reasoning as blacks being first race is because they evolved out of africa. homo sapiens actually IIRC evolved outside of africa. i believe common belief is that ~ 1.8 million years ago, think it was habilis, one from the Homo was able to travel outside of Africa. due to that, it leaves ~ 1.6 million years of evolution that would no longer favor darker skin, if dark skin was even prevalent enough

go research human evolution in depth and you would know the answer

reading a short story from national geographic won't make you know everything

so you cannot refute what i say so you tell me to go research human evolution?

dont worry bro, hot temperatures favor dark skin.

your lack of knowledge in this subject is what makes me refute answering your posts

I learned this shit years ago and I cba to try and remember it

go do some research and you will realize you were wrong, it's not hard bro

my lack of knowledge?

you think hot temperatures favor darker skin when its really radiation levels that matter.

Our predecessors were ape-like humans, covered in fur and dark skinned like all other apes and chimpanzees.

You claim that fur was still on people millions of years ago and you say they were dark skinned underneath. The fur, containing melanin, would remove any need for darker skin until after the fur was lost.

you also claim allchimpanzees and gorillas are dark skinned when they are not...

Races (and skin color) are the result of evolving over many, many years by different circumstances, the environment.

lastly, you say races have evolved. if you knew anything about science, race is a social construct, not genetically determined. the only way for races to evolve is as the society's beliefs evolve

perhaps you need to go research. just because you throw out some terms that are relevant to the subject at hand but not the argument doesnt mean your answers are right

/e i probably should have stated this earlier too, but when i talk about dark individuals being the first race, i was thinking further down the lineage than just homo sapiens.
