Not really. The eye sockets are much larger than the visible parts of the eyes. The problem is that the photo in the OP doesn't give us anything for size reference.

Yes there is. 70s or less there had to be some. And like 1990s there was a bunch that escaped from the zoo and were breeding. There was even one around here that they shot or captued.
