Sounds good. If they made it to the moon in the time it took them, then we can probably make it to Mars. They jsut better be willing to die, or be best friends with the people they're going with for a long ass time.
And also, we could Terraform mars in about 100 years. Build a shitload of powerplants to put Co2 into the atmosphere and eventually it'll heat up enough for the ice caps to melt. I think we've got pretty good at that.

Mars had an atmosphere once and it got blown away cause mars lost its molten core and thus lots is magnetic field, The only way we could create a atmosphere on mars if we some how used a device that created a magnetic field that protected the planet from the constant abuse from the sun if not the excess gasses will get blown off whats on the planet now is the max there can be with gravity alone. the sun is > then gravity with out the magnetic field
only thing we could do realistically is live in massive radiation protecting domes or live under ground in a network of caves, most likely by one of the ice caps to convert the ice into O2, water,and hydrogen for energy / fuel
