What can possibly explain this?

Is it legitimate insight into the future, in your eyes?

To me, it is nothing far from. I find it fascinating how i can envision something within the confines of a sleep, and then see it unfold a year or sometimes years in the future. My deja vu moments last a matter of seconds, and i can remember seeing those exact moments exactly as they were months or years in a past dream/daydream. I remember the first deja vu moment i had; It was for a split second, it was in 8th grade and i was passing a white bottle of elmers glue across a table. And that was it.

Other deja vu moments i've had lasted for 5-10 seconds. Which included vital chunks of conversations that i had seen in sleep years in the past. When these moments happen, they are so vivid and unmistakable..

Anyone have this strange occurrence in their lives as well?

yes all the time. its spooky.

The only problems is, I cant remember where it happened before or even happened. But yes, I have those weird ass moments...

I've read that when you get deja vu, you just stored a memory in your long term memory instead of short term so its like you've done it already even when it was the first time. That seems possible to me.

That sounds like it might be it.

Seems possible^^

maybe its just the chemical in your brain being released when its not supposed to, that sends the signal that means something is familiar as you brain is constructing images in the optical lobe, considering your brain does this 24/7 it wouldn't suprise me if it made a few mistakes along the way

if deja vu was real you could remeber the exact time and place that you first remebered something happening

I asked my psychology professor about this last year and he told us deja vu a double registering of an event in the mind. Everyone seems to be able to recall it was from a dream they had, but the actual dream isnt able to be recalled until the deja vu event happens. So its likely it is a similar event that will fill in the gaps in the memory from what happened in the dream. And therefore your brain reads the situation twice.

I had long deja vu event, and its so weird when it happens. It does seem like you had precognative abilities, but the reality is that is extremely unlikely and not really in the realm of possible imo

I've had a few deja vu moments where i DO remember the dream/daydream happening, and i also remember after the dream/daydream i did have a good feeling the event would happen in the future, as it did. Therefore, imo, the precognitive awareness is real
