i agree that he puts too much emphasis on degrading religion. his argument just becomes weaker the more he needs to do it. imo religion itself has its place; whether god as we know him exists or not, you have to admit there would be a lot more crime in the world if stupid people had nothing to fear of the afterlife. and for all we know, god could really exist. besides that, this is an inspiring video on astrology.

Maybe religion had it's place when the average lifespan was 30 years and our teeth were rotting out.

But in a modern society I'm not sure why we're dragging religion kicking and screaming with us.

Perhaps those of the lowest education actually avoid causing harm due to threat of eternal supernatural punishment, but for the majority I would assume it's a non issue and more of a morals aspect.

Not sure what took me so many times clicking this thread to actually watch the video. Just added it to my YT favorites, right next to Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog and an auto-tuned song of Carl Sagan giving a talk.
