im not in to religion or religious debates, but dont you think this and other stories are metaphorical teachings? do you also think the bible is literal when it talks about creating the earth in 6 days? i know there are soem christians that believe these stories. most that i have come in contact with do not and are not near as naive as you would make them sound. there are actually alot of intelligent people of all beliefs out there.

I bet it was a book passed around to read to children
