If she has not taken extacy many times before, its effect is pretty strong and once again even stronger because of her age.
During life we are exposed to drugs daily in terms of food alcohol etc. The body learns to fight them. If you are only 14years old the body is not as effective and coping with an overdosis of drugs.
Obviously another problem is that she most likely is small with 14 years of age. In addition to that she is a girl so she has less muscle and herewith less overall blood volume which results in a higher concentration of extacy in the blood.
The drug byitself at that age, especially when having had an overdose can cause damage. The fact that she got unconscious for 24hours can drastically worsen that damage.
I am pretty sure she has taken away some damage from such a prolonged period of uncinsciousness. The extend I don't know.
Street drugs can not only have other shit in them apart from extacy, but also the concentrations might be fucked up. If you're unlucky there was 4x more extacy in that drug than should be.
Its also toxic on the hippocampus serotonic neurones so that could affect her memory and her own natural production of those happy neurotransmitters.
However it is more likely that the period of unconsciousness has brought more damage then the drug itself.
this is pretty accurate, ive done ecstacy a few times and it was very intense and rough on my body (i was about 19 at the time)
for girls its so easy to OD because they cant metabolize the drug like a boy due to muscle and fat ratios
Also E is sold by "stacks" or "hits" rather than just quantity of pills, so one pill can consist of a double stack, triple stack, or quad stack (4x the strength)
Another thing to mention is it was very likely she did much more than just pure ecstacy, "MDMA". Most exstacy is cut with: Meth, Heroin, PCP, Mescaline, or tons of other nasty stuff
Its hard to say what will happen to your friend, shes very young and small so its taking a toll on her more than it would most people. I had a friend who almost OD'd on morphine but he eventually woke up in the hospital good luck
Erowid.com is a great site to learn about all kinds of drug stuff, if you HAVE to try drugs do some research first
