the problem with using darwins thoughts on the subject aside from him finding out the basics is that he lacked the kind of technology and understanding we have today. i mean the first person to make a car wouldn't of been able to imagine our cars today. darwin started that path but he was in no real position to determine where it ended. the problem with trying to base your ideals on the fossil record alone is that its a very limited record due to the rare nature of fossils

Yes, but the fossil record would be the most rewarding method to test and scrutinize before any others - because it allows individuals to say 'here is a fossil and it proves evolution happened. You can look at it with your eyes and examine its bone structure.'

while that is true it is also incomplete. its like getting every 20th page from a book and trying to determine what happened.

Then you must not blame me for having little faith in a system that realize heavily upon an incomplete system.

So in looking at these sets of fossils, you see no links?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_transitional_fossils

For the record, amphibians to reptiles is in there.

the thing is you are judging an incomplete data source. you can't read 2 pages in a 500 page novel and render judgment. the fossil records does one thing that should get you more interested in it than a religious base and that is show you complicated life was on this planet hundreds of millions of years before man. the only people who argue the fossil records and evolution are religious people and that is because it shows the bible was based on nonsense and instead of just accepting it and moving on we have to keep dealing with the ignorance that "blind faith" causes. if you are open enough to ask questions you should be open enough to accept the answer.
