milk actually creates more acid and gas and can make it worse, and thus is not what to drink.
take it from someone who's gone to hell and back with this problem for nearly 2 years now.
take tums, try to limit your spicy/chocolate/mint/etc intake, and if necessary go to the doctor and get a prescription for pills that will decrease your stomach acid production.
but there are websites with information about what foods to avoid, should try to find some and do your best to stick to it.
