I'd say it's a mental thing. You can ignore pain if the situation requires it (If your life depends on it fx). Also if you get used to pain, it wont affect you as much, but i think that's still just a mental thing. Drugs and alchohol can reduce the pain you feel too.

its not ignoring it mentally. if you are in a situation where you are afraid and injured your body releases chemicals to dull the pain.

your the only person that mentioned something physical. haha.

and i would agree with everyone else on the mentality, because thats how i am. i just convince myself it doesnt hurt, and it stops for the most part.
but then why do women always complain about like, a little slap, or falling 1 foot off the ground? are they just mentally weaker in this sort of situation or something?

women are use to playing the weak female around men. its just how girls are lol. in truth they have on average the same pain tolerance as a man they just tend to fake being easy to hurt.

Really? I didn't know that. But i would still say you can choose to ignore pain. Perhaps not extreme pain, but small amounts.

You can ignore pain, and it works. Or accept it, generally the same thing.

Ask any soldier that went through bootcamp, or any freakshow preformer.
Its all mental until you're really injured, and then once the adrenaline hits you, you won't really feel all too much until its over.

i find this interesting.
so basically men, over the years have basically, in a sense been "manipulated" as you could say, into believing that their role is to be strong, fearless, pain tolerant.. etc
and women on the otherhand have been "manipulated" as you could say to be weak/less pain tolerant.
in a sense.

yep. the damsel in distress shit still works lol. just the way girls are raised since we haven't really had a strong woman generation yet. probably the next will start doing away with some of these types of things.
