Stem cells.

I don't have anything against using your own stem cells to grow you an organ in case that will turn out to be possible.

Umbilical stem cells are far less controversial and many people would agree with you.
Real ethical debate circulates around the use of human embryonic stem cells in research that requires the destruction of the "human" organism.

I voted for genetic testing, as long as there are boundries to what is put into practice. Man's curiosity will always encourage people to look farther. So testing, within reason, should be allowed. If there's a wish to continue, there should be a global agreement on what's ethically allowed and what not. Clear rules on what can or cannot be done.

Modified food is what corrupts our minds, I think that's a biggy.

I'm pretty sure all those topics are not about sacrificing humans. Actually some of them are actually aimed at advancing the human life.

Cloning is only feared because of religious hysteria. Genetically Modified foods are actually potentially way more nutritious than organic. It depends on how they are genetically altering them. Some are altered to produce more but there have been tons of strides in producing foods that have become more nutritious than organic foods will ever be.

... if it is ethical / should be legal to patent a life form...

wow, o wow... I never thought about it this whole time with GMO's. Lol. That's good stuff, I'll laugh at the first person to argue to me against it.

Genetic testing. Superior race and all that. I probably don't know what I really chose, but I mean to say find what genes are associated with athleticism, intelligence, beauty, mettle, etc.
