If we evolved over billions of years from a organic mush or whatever.. for the time that we as humans have been humans, and dogs have been dogs and cats have been cats and everything has been the same, why has nothing evolved? We have not witnessed any such creature evolve. Since we have not seen one thing evolve how can Evolution be proven a true fact? It's what I don't understand.

Evolution happens when it needs to happen, and when it does happen, it happens over a LONG LONG period of time. Humans have not been around long enough to witness any significant form of evolution.

one of the main driving forces of evolution is "natural selection" so his statement about "happens when it needs to happen" its in the right direction. right now a population could be at equilibrium but then a change in that populations niche could change causing some traits to be more favorable than others- leading to evolution.

as for your statement about not seeing evolution... darwin witnessed microevolution.

as for macroevolution, that takes numerous amounts of generations.
