then you've only ever heard of rest mass. which is good for you, kind of, since all of this relativistic mass shit is boring.

For OP, the mass gained by an object at great speeds is given by the relativistic mass, m=mo/sqrt[ 1 – (v/c)²  ]. If v=c, the relaivistic mass approaches infinity. Hence the shit about not travelling faster than the speed of light. I'm not sure about the shit about objects travelling faster than the speed of light in a black hole. I'm pretty sure shit with 0 rest mass is the only thing that can travel the speed of light (and it must).

No, weight is determined by an acceleration. Weight is a force. Although acceleration is caused by a force also, but either way I'm not sure wat your point is.

What does that have to do with the speed of light question?

At the center of a black hole ALL our physics break down since the gravitation is = to infinity ... That would mean that time wouldnt exist nor would space..

Whenever an object passes a specific line (dno what its called) the gravitation will keep increasing with such speed that its IMPOSSIBLE both in reality and in theory to escape.. The velocity gained will be so massive that objects will travel faster than light it self.

But Imo this kinda interferes with the fact that objects gain mass and weight ?

Dunno, I don't really know anything about black holes and shit. All the physics I've done is from an engineering perspective.

A black hole has the exact same mass it did when it was a star. It is just in a smaller volume. Gravity is a function of mass. If our sun turned into a black hole, we would all still be orbiting exactly the same. Earth would not get 'sucked in' any more than we are at the moment. The reason it's said that 'even light can't escape it' is because of its density, not because of any particularly strong gravity. Escape velocity is based on density, and with the immense density (mass of star into however small volume you care to say), the escape velocity of a black hole is greater than the speed of light. It doesn't have any special 'power' of gravity. There is a lot of miscomprehension of terms here. Even basic concepts like the difference between mass and weight.

If you look at einsteins generel relativity theory you will easily discover that the gravitational pull will be imense near a specific point in a black hole, and the theory it self will break down at the center of a black hole due to the fact that his equations would be equal to infinity.
That would mean that time / space nor anything else would be able to exist in there

To throw another wrinkle into the mix: Light does not always move at speed c in a vacuum. Light just has a very large amplitude (large probability) to move at speed c in a vacuum.

Okay .. As we all know, objects with a mass gain weight when traveling fast. We all know that it would be close to impossible for us to travel with the speed of light since objects would gain so much more mass + weight in such speeds..

But ny 1 know the mathmaticss behind this ? Coz I was wondering if something sucked into a black hole wouldnt gain incredible mass and weight since it would travel so much faster than light it self ?????

And if so, wouldnt it be impossible for a black whole to ever swallow a planet/star ?? O_o

In short, it has to do with the lorentz factor which is 1/sqrt(1-v2/c2)

Hmm that kinda interferes with the generel relativity imo ? But I might be wrong

Objects drawn into black holes don't enter it at the speed of light
