Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but there are sooooo many other solar systems, cluster galaxies and full formed galaxies out there that I think it is kinda closed-minded to think that Earth is the 1 and only place that life exists.. It may be the only place NEAR us, or the only place that we ever have to worry about, but the vastness of space and the universe and the fact that with nature, there are no "flukes" everything has a purpose and everything has definition. There is other life out there, however far away, intelligent @ this point in time or not they are out there.. Hell look @ Gliese 581 c that is a planet just 20 light-years away that is considered Earth-like and judged as a place of possible inhabitability. Now is it "just" like Earth, no. But the important thing is that the planets condition and relationship to its star is correct for supporting life.

I think the human race just needs to stop being so ignorant and realize we are NOT just some special species alone in the universe.
