There will always be a delay between what happens at the object and when the controller finds out what has happened and his instructions reach the car. Imagine trying to dodge a stream of particles moving slightly less than the speed of light aimed at your RC car. By the time you see the stream, input the commands on your radio controller, and they reach the car, its too late. By increasing the distance between the car and the controller, you will just increase the number of phenomenon you will not be able to respond to in time.
