If we cannot comprehend left and right on a 2d pic ask urself how we watch tv and play video games, not to mention use our eyes that see things in 2d

Now ima go to work caz a collage student needs to make some money to eat so u can sit at home all day and try to prove me wrong, ill come back and smash you l8er if u even provide a valid argument.

I can see it moving in both directions by staring at it for long enough.

Or rather, I can change which direction it appears to be moving in. It spins left for me naturally, but if I focus long enough and think about it, I can see it spinning right.

I find it helps me considerably to spin my fingers in the direction she's -not- heading, then she flips direction eventually.

It's because our brains interpret those 2D images. When it's real life, it's easy - we can use tons of clues, such as lighting, to resolve a 2D image into a 3D image.

In fact, that's precisely what the optical illusion above is doing; it's using context clues to try to create the illusion of a 3D image. However, since there are actually no context clues, your brain simply picks one based on any of a number of random factors.

I can absolutely tell you without a shadow of a doubt that I have seen her spin in both directions.

Try the trick that I mentioned above - twirl the fingers of both hands toward the left while staring at her intently and thinking 'left.' You'll see a short bit of 'glitch' for a second and she'll start spinning left.

here's a rational explanation for it. but it doesnt take a science whiz to realize it's secret
