Define nothing please.

Does nothing include ideas like photons, energy, thought, promises or faith at all?
absolutely nothing, no energy, atoms etc just empty with nothing
Fr4D35 and the rest, what i met was before the big bang, not talking about the dense ball of energy, i mean what was outside of the ball before the explosion, could that "empty/nothingness" be filled up with something? or was it just blank? and since we know the universe is expanding, whats outside the universe? is it filling a "empty" space? also is it even possible that "nothingness" exist? o.o that's more of the question i was trying to ask xD

In the big bang theory it never says something came from nothing. Something was just very dense and small.
