Can a newborn survive if left by itself?
Does a newborn have rational, intelligent thought?
Ah, the newborn does not specifically depend on the mother's body alone after birth. It requires care, but can live in an outside environment;
not just in a perfectly regulated incubator (womb).
The newborn has direct potential to think rationally. As the baby grows, the brain begins to retain certain information and traits, and the intellectual process begins to develop based on experience and what he/she is being taught.

Question 1;
Can a 14 year old boy with raging hormones survive outside of the 'body'?
Question 2;
Does a 14 year old boy with raging hormones have rational, intelligent thought?
NO
On another note, I'm quite enjoying myself in these science forums..
Hormones can cloud decision making but never once does the endocrine system completely block neurological process.
I hope this was a joke? lol.
