the thought always crosses my mind, what if this whole thing we call universe that we live in is actually one cell or one atom of a much larger world/organism?

the structure of the universe and its galaxies and solar systems have some resemblance to the structure of atoms

exactly as i explained

without people thinking about these things, we would still not be using electricity or know why a rock always falls to the ground

wrong, we are not at that stage where we can even thoroughly explore our own solar system much less anything further out than mars. And you're talking about speculation of what our entire universe could be a part of? Please, as humans we should morally be obliged not to waste time, money and energy on pointless ideas that do not progress our civilization.

before the discovery of the ideas of electricity, this is exactly what we thought it was, useless

pointless ideas? I think knowing the reason and purpose of existence holds quite a point

:headscratch:

Life is not that significant as compared to existence

Nope. There is only the universe.

He's not being ignorant, because what you are speculating cannot be known. He's being realistic.

IMO, there is smaller than an atom, or even electrons as we are starting to find. There should and could be objects bigger than the universe?

Wow, there's something smaller than an atom?

That's entirely different; that was derived from a lack of understanding.

BS is saying it's useless because he (everyone) knows thatwe don't (and probably will never) have the power to prove any of these "theories".

Tell me how knowing part of what animal we are will help us in any way. If we ever found out, tell me how that would help. Knowing the purpose of your existence might help you morally align yourself perhaps? What?

What are you getting out of this, trying to spend massive amounts of money on HUGE telescopes and rockets, that you could override helping other people on our own god damn planet?

You do realize that half of our planet lives in extreme poverty, so many of them don't have homes, clean drinking water, electricity you talk about, medicine.... and you feel that finding out (not to mention that the task of

finding this out itself is no mere feat...we won't be able to do that for another 500 years at least) that we're actually a part of a giant zebra is going to help? Check yourself.
