Tesla made a massive Tesla coil back in the early 1900's which could provide wireless electricity for a short distance around the coil.

wow you really provide nothing to any discussion. way to say something i said weeks ago. tool.

indeed. very old. Nikola Tesla was making wireless electricity ~1900.

note the dates...

It is possible to transmit electicity through Microwaves, they can go easily 60 miles (with the power reduced ofc).

There are microwaves trasmited and received on the other end with Copper plates (~26 of them on each boeard, with around 3-4 boards.) since Electrons get agitated with microwaves they can capture the electricity from the source throwing the microwaves towards them. It's not that complicated.

It was shown on Project Earth on Discovery Channel yesterday, google it or even youtube that, you should be able to find it.

microwaves can go hundreds of miles. the typical air search RADAR on any US Naval vessel has a search range of over 200 nautical miles, and thats with a wide beam. Focused beam transmittal can multiply the range, and diffraction principles can bend the microwaves around the horizon. however, there is no feasible use for this in principles of power supply to a load, being that the sheer level of power required to transmit like this vs the amount of usable energy received to the load would make it utterly wasteful and stupid, unless they are planning on tackling cold fusion while they're at it and making an infinite power source.

lolz, i wonder how many lab assistants developed cancer from this^

why is wireless electricity really useful at all... ? Wouldn't it be rather dangerous and unreliable lol? I mean we have cables strong and lengthy enough...

it is dangerous, just another means of us all killing ourselves a little bit quicker, as far as microwave principles go, and transmittal of electrical power through any type of radio waves, this is how we pop popcorn, and defrost that block of ground beef when we wanna make hamburger helper...hence, this is what we would do to ourselves. also, trying to effectively channel that power over the airwaves is just going to cause more distortion and interference to the massive amounts of other bullshit we're already putting in the air. there are plenty of means of generating electricity using the elements that we live around, wind, solar, hydroelectric, geothermal, and lets face it, the human race has gotten good and goddamned lazy enough, we should focus our efforts on more worthy research, such as curing diseases like cancer, which were partly spawned by silly experiments like this one.

i'm working on my own electrical plant to power my home for free; my own system at home, haa!
ah yes, the benefits..

I bet it's gonna run on pot.
