CDs don't get worse with each play.

I use my ipod every single day at work. Its very convenient, how mp3 and cd's sound quality is not so good. Its due to how compressed the music is, you lose alot doing this. Vinyl is way better for listening at home. Listen to Led Zepplin on a cd, then listen to it on vinyl. You can actually hear all the instruments that they used, rather than just guitar, drums, bass, etc.

I always found vinyls are better for subtitles and maybe nostalgia purposes.

Such as classical music and old school country respectively.

Digital is much better for music that needs a crisp replay, low signal to noise ratio and wide frequency range.

to get the audio onto a CD it has to go through demodulation, obviously it slightly decreases the quality. however this does not mean vinyls are better purely because they're analog, the problem with vinyls is with the grooves. the best sound would be a live performance and then probably a high quality CD
