Wouldn't you be killed and rebuilt; not the same consciousness? Scary.

if the soul does not exist and if the body is rebuilt exactly like it was, i think it'd be the same consciousness

and i don't believe a soul exists

Memories are physical information just like files in a computer. They're just in your brain and the farther back you go the worse the connection is.

Supposedly you don't forget anything, it just gets harder to recall -- but all the information is there.

Yeah. Alzheimer's is when the nerves in your brain that connect to your "memory zone" break away. I don't have the names for anything, but I saw a video on it a couple months ago tongue.gif

I mean even without alzheimers, you brain is like RAM in pc's -- it can store and process things for a limited amount of time, and as information or applications become older and stop being used, your brain allocates less processing power to it.

That is unnatural. That is so crazy!

But still.. I am wondering how memories and information have mass. We all know that neuron connections strengthen as knowledge is obtained, but that doesn't mean that information has mass. I still want to hear theories on this; it happens to be one of the subjects I am really interested.
