I mean there are legit 'fortune' tellers out there... my dad for one, a fortune teller told him he would have a serious heart problem in 10 years -- and 10 years later lo and behold, i had to be sent away to live with my grandparents because my dad was bedridden with something like weak arteries or something like that...his heart almost failed. So I do believe in it, whether its scientific or not...that same fortune teller told him he would go to America even if he didn't want to...he married my mom obvs, and she wanted to go to America -- and there it was, even though he didn't want to go he went.

I agree with Chaos on this one.

The first example there isn't too farfetched. An older guy with heart problems. Pretty common eh?

The second one is a little harder to "predict", but it's certainly not beyond the realms of possibility. A lot of people like the lifestyle in America and want to go and live there (obviously your dad didn't in this case, but the fact that a lot of other people want to go makes it a bit less farfetched). Actually going there is a bit different though, but still, it could have easily not happened.

I'm not completely ruling anything like that out though. I like to keep an open mind, but obviously I'm going to be just a little bit skeptical until there is proof, or something close to it.

astrology isnt science, neather is psychology or psychiatry which claim to be science and claim to be science within educational insitutions, but they are however not sciences even though they are authoritively stated to be, due to the fact that they do not align to the definition of science at all.
