I was told there are long term side effects, like receding hair, hair loss, lowered sex drive, pain in the genitals

Was hoping to get several opinions, from people who have had this operation.

There may be a moderate chance of being unable to have children in the future

It might hurt for the very first months, but shouldn't in the future. The thing about hair loss is trully related to younger ppl, because of the hormone production.

I would actually ask you why are you so interested in getting a vasectomy, and then I would report you about the secondary effects

Try an IRL support group. That or get a second opinion / warning.

Risks Of Getting A Vasectomy?

Maybe the surgeon sneezes at the wrong time and give you a penectomy (chops off your junk)?

maybe if you junk is noodle sized...

I would advise you google it or ask the doctor/surgeon/whatever

Those long term side effects can vary per person and can be caused by other things so getting a bunch of different opinions might not give you the answers you need

I think the biggest risk is that after a while they are unable to reverse it but I bet with modern procedures this isn't a huge problem
