So our universe is "limited" by the distance light traveled.
So basically if were in a "bubble" where the distance can be defined by the distance light has traveled and there are other universes that are also limited by the same factor.
Why don't the universes collide?

if another universe did exist with the same properties of our universe they would most likely collide in the way you would image.

however this whole question is meaningless considering we simply do not know that there are other universes let alone ones that consist of the same things or even on the same scale as our own.

Here you seem to be confusing the observable universe with the "universe as a whole". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Observable_universe

Same problem.

I drew this because it might help:

your statement "So our universe is "limited" by the distance light traveled" is a reference to the yellow sphere, not the red one.

While the scale is not very accurate, it is no accident the distance between the 2 civilization's observable universes has grown. Because the red sphere is growing much faster than the yellow and blue sphere, the distance between them will only grow. Also even if they did overlap there really wouldn't be a collision since they are just calculated regions of mostly empty space.
No one knows the volume of the red sphere but it can be showed that it must be more than 10 times the volume of the yellow (through some observations compared with some rather nasty curvature arguments).

Of course the next question might be what is outside the red sphere, maybe a big green sphere? Well this is what Subwoofer is talking about, and as he pointed out is speculation for the most part. Observation evidence essentially ends at the surface of the yellow sphere (there are a few exceptions, like the curvature argument mentioned above, but you'll note it don't say much about the area outside the yellow sphere).

you're asking a hypothetical question about two theoretical situations. the answer is whatever you speculate it to be.

that is suggesting there is only 1 intelligent life form, in each sphere. Witch is a mathematical impossibility....

Why do you think we taught to fear god? Alliens Will come check us out when we learn to much...See our wicked ways and say f that, put them down.

We shot a arrow at them once, and they fvcked with our minds..soo the bible says..

other histories talk of a space war...think it is time to know angels and demons = higher life forms, good and bad. We can all be called either.

you still reading the monkey version...easier to say god, angels, demons. Rather then, omg other life forms besides humans from earth.

pity that you understand it that way because it was never implied - and to the mathematical impossibility, please refrain talking about something you have proven not to understand

you are allowed to believe that but that does not belong into this forum

if you want to take the bible, there are other subforums as well especially one where you can exchange ideas

somehow at a loss what you want to say with this - but don't bother trying to explain it, please

...since we understand that the universe is both measurable in size and expanding what do we call the area that is outside of the boundaries ( please don't say space for the obvious reason ) ?

Galaxies have boundaries, the universe not.
The word universe implies that there is nothing outside, universe is everything.

It does not suggest that at all.

What is the first book we have, that talks of the cosmos? But yet you say, has no place here?
Just because you can't see science in the BiBle, does not mean there is none. You just blind to it. First there was sound, then light..We find this to be true in science...When God is done he will roll it up like a carpet...the Universe is flat,.. We also find this to be true in science...

You see, there is a science in the bible..of the cosmos..It is the first book we have of it .
