Love how people have predetermined exactly what an alien species would look like, even though we have no clue.

In infants with hydrocephalus, CSF builds up in the central nervous system, causing the fontanelle (soft spot) to bulge and the head to be larger than expected.

here are some (disturbing) pictures of very young children with it, which seems rather consistent with the mummy.

And assuming this is the case for the mummy, this isn't even the first time there have been claims of babies with hydrocephalus being aliens. Similar claims surfaced in Brazil in 2004 until testing showed the "alien" in question was in fact a sadly deformed human child :(

why not ? it is a mummy sure most likely human but who really knows maybe part of another species..If we never question and just assume we know all the facts well we would still be in the stone age.

Progeria is another disorder that can cause abnormal bone growth, most specifically noticed in the cranium.

Most likely, I would say you're more spot on to what caused the abnormal growth as shown in the OP. The enlargement is more consistent with your assumption.

That is certainly another possible explanation. I'm sure there are others as well we can't think of.
