MANY times, and increasingly I often think we are living in the past, or at least me.

Videos on youtube seem like things from the past, for example someone is talking or saying something and it looks one of those videos talking about stuff which was from ages ago.

I can picture most videos on a future point of view and they really look old to me.

Then how people relate to each other and the society as whole, they look like animals acting based on instinct and doing stupid stuff for no reason.
Also they live life without any kind of purpose limiting themselves to follow what they have learned to be right, not thinking one bit of what they actually do or why they do it.

I swear, this might seem strange but I REALLY think Im living in the past.. kind of like in the back to the future when hes in the past.

Does anyone else feels this way? And why does it happen?

Also the technology we have today it seems like from the rock age to me, I can picture in a very short time within the future all we have now will be soooo old and obsolete.
I think we are about to discover something realllllly different that will blow our minds and really change the direction of our evolution.

It will not be an improvement of anything that we have now, it will be something new, some kind of energy source that requires little to no resources or unlimited.
This energy will also not be comparable to anything we currently have, it will be so massive and so powerful that will make us able to go to the space and travel at incredible speed at great efficient consuming little to no resources.

I swear it will happen really soon.

This.

Most everything I see / search online (my search methods are admittedly biased) is future-based or at least current events.

why dont you actually do something to change it instead of complaining about other people doing the same thing you are

Everything you see has happened in the past. You look at a distant star knowing that the light from it traveled many years to reach you. The light from the sun is 8 minutes old by the time it reaches you. The light from your computer screen is about 1 and 2/3rds of a nanosecond in the past. Sound is even slower.

But seriously, keep up with science and engineering stuff. We can do so much more so much more easily than we could 5 years ago. If you are and still finding it too primitive, start spending some time learning about how it works and why, and what is physically possible. Maybe you'll come to an understanding of why we don't have 40GHz dodecacore processors and full body exoskeletons yet.

It's the signs of the singularity (idk if you'v heard of this concept I'm assuming you have) imo the point where human intelligence starts to increase faster then exponentially.

I don't see any evidence that people are more intelligent now than they were in the past. The collection of human knowledge is certainly growing fast.
