first of all that ship is a death trap, steven hawkin himself would probably not go in it, because how does it even slow down? and what if it hits space rocks? and will the pilots ever be able to leave this ship?
then remember what george carlin said, we should not colonize space, he had a good point.

kinda old lol, also you ask the simple questions to answer rofl, ofc he would get on it, it wouldnt slow down, and obviously they would figure something out for "space rocks" and no they wouldnt leave the ship

remember what carl marx said? about just as relevant as your quote of george carlin

that would be awesome and necessary for human survival if we made it to when our sun became a red giant (which we probably wont)

also space dust is more harmful than space rocks. the chance of a collision in outerspace is fucking tiny.

couldn't they reroute some energy to create a sort of heat shield to repel space dust? edit: maybe a static electric field would be more effective, or maybe even powerful magnets.

another problem would be communication. it would be impossible to communicate with the ship, although i guess the ship could send data back, albeit very slowly.

and as for slowing down... that puzzles me. Perhaps gravitational fields could be used to steer the ship into an orbit where it can gradually slow down?

Im no physicist, but the implications of E=MC2 when dealing with a huge mass and near critical acceleration could cause some unforeseeable problems.

He's the smartest man in the world. I'm sure it will be 100% fine when it's complete.

He also talks about wormholes and the ability to travel from one place to another instantly.

See where this is going?
