wasnt it a diamond star(core)?

iirc a white dwarf composed predominantly of a carbon core

i remember seeing an article about a planet that rained rocks... or lava... or soemthing..

it got so hot on the surface that rocks would vaporize and then come back down as lava or something when they cooled..

its iron, and several gas giants known as " hot jupiters" do this



its when a gas giant's orbit has migrated so far inward towards the star before its orbit stabilizes, so it just in a permanent inferno


oddly enough gas giants cant form this close to stars only rocky planets do they just move inwards knocking the rocky plantes out of the way and most times they slingshot the rocky planets out of the system completely and they become wandering rouge planets
