my friend asked me if it's possible to request a DNA test on his behalf to figure out if he really is the biological father of his girlfriend's kid.
he's asian and his girlfriend is Caucasian and mix with german bloodline....

he have:
thick dark hair.
dark eyebrows.
dark brown eyes.
tan skin.
slightly flat nose.

but his kid does not have the similarity or any ressemblance of him at all....
the kid just turned 2 last month.


so, if he wants to get a DNA test....does he have to get his girlfriends permission to get it?
or can he buy one of those DNA swab tests from Walgreens and send it to the lab and pay for the fee without his girlfriend knowing it?

I'm pretty sure that he has the right to a paternity test, and there's nothing wrong with just plucking a hair and sending that shit in to the lab or w/e.

I'm fairly certain he is able to do that because he has the right to the paternity test. Don't quote me, I'm obviously not a lawyer.

But I'm pretty sure that he can do that if he's willing to pay all the fees like you said.

but yeah i dont see why he can't get a paternity test. worst case scenario girl grabs kid and runs off to prevent him getting the DNA. If she tries to get any child support from him, he can refuse until the paternity test is complete

If he is already legally considered the father (his name on birth certificate etc), then he has just as much parental rights as she does. As such, you do not need her consent for medical procedures performed on the children, of which a paternity test would qualify. If there's 'drama' involved, then he needs to get a court order and go through that bullshit progress of having the mom consent etc, etc. Easiest way to do it I think would be to just get a DNA kit. Swab sample done on kid/dad, mail it to whatever clinic he's gonna go to and get results in the mail. Afraid of mom finding mail? put a friend's address or some private P.o box.

If he signed the birth certificate I don't think it really matters. Probably better to not test at this point...also phenotypes can be funny....all the traits you described seem like dominant traits.
