the reason that, no viable offspring is born, can be either pre-zygotic or post-zygotic, in this case lets say the two species successfully mate and the sperm is in the female reproductive organ, then
prezygotic:
1. the sperm died due to not being able to adapt to the vagina of other species, or is killed by the immune system of the female
2. the sperm enzyme in the acrosome cannot digest the jelly coat of the egg of other species
3. the sperm nucleus does not fuse with the female nucleus
post zygotic, in this case, the male nucleus gets into the female egg, but:
1. the zygote does not develop because the chromosomes does not match, i.e. the information on the genetic material does not match between the two individuals
2. the fusion of nucleus is successful but the embryo died, because genetic information is not matching
3. the hybrid get birth but is not able to survive
4. the hybrid can survive but is not fertile
if this blow your mind, remember that one more chromosome #23 in human already causes down syndrome, let alone so many difference between chromosomes in different species
btw, scientific research need to pass some ethical approval before proceed, i dont think any committee would pass this, i personally think your idea is gross
Hmm well I think it would be a good study.
If the scientific community wont do it then I will pay some researchers in russia or somewhere to conduct the experiment
on human women to
taking the sperms of an alligator and dolphin to be put into a womans vagina
