...I even looked at one of these videos that did a really convincing job of it. He got the dog barking, running and whining and his girlfriend being all scared but at the end of the video he admits it's all fake and it took him about 15 minutes. All of this is pathetic fear mongering.

Instead of doing any research as to whether or not this phenomenon has any scientific backing, you bring it to us with an air of worry about you.

Makes sense. I mean, if you were God and wanted to announce something to every human on the planet, you would do so by posting YouTube videos of strange sounds. You would never like, say, just as an example, hypothetically speaking, simply make every person hear "Hi, [name]. This is God speaking. Jesus is coming soon. Just FYI. Over and out." That would be FAR too clear. Sending localized celestial farts to small portions of the planet is a way better way of communication.
