statistically speaking there is a very high chance of other life in the universe. we can't say anything for sure though.

That's why Jesus visited every single planet with sentient life and taught them in ways they would understand. Everyone can go to heaven! :D

Well, Consider that if not life evolves on another planet. what about another form of sentient being that doesn't have the same senses and perceptions as normal life has on this planet.
such as sight
touch
smell
hear
taste

And here's something cool... if other sentient beings can see, they will almost certainly be able to see in a different range of the electromagnetic spectrum than we can. We can see in the 400nm to 700nm range because that is the most intense part of the EM spectrum for our Sun. We see in this range because evolution selected beings which could see best in the most intense region of our star's spectrum.

If sentient beings evolve on a cooler star (whose planet is closer to their sun to maintain liquid water) then their vision will be in smaller wavelengths, so they will be able to see in the infrared or below. If they evolve on a hotter star, they will see in the ultraviolet.

There are millions of stars out there. Many of them have many planets, so that means there are hundreds of thousand planets out there. So I dont see why, simple or advanced life time will see.
