Apparently you're not as aware as you think they are. They can vaguely reconstruct an image by reading brain signals. That is NOT recording a live video of a person's dream, so "what's next" would be clarifying the picture and making it so live videos could be constructed.

There's a HUGE difference between reading what the brain is observing and writing something to the brain, so "downloading an image to your brain" is NOT what is next.

There's a huge difference between reading signals from the brain and trying to input signals TO the brain. There's no way that "what's next" is downloading images into someone's brain. That idea is the only non sequitur in this thread. That would be an entirely different branch of research, so it does not follow from this research.
