anyone got some sure fire ways to help me slow down? I know the most logical thing to do is to slow down using willpower.

but i mean, i enjoy it..it really doesn't affect my health yet because i keep a great diet and exercise everyday.

I don't cough, honestly its not even that bad.

I just know that i have gotta change or else the consequences could be fatal down the road into the future.

Anything will be appreciated, thanks in advance. Even spam/troll comments are welcome. thanks guise

i used to smoke about 2 packs a week. I never really got addicted to it so it was really easy for me to quit.
one day i just decided to stop, and that was that.. Now I can't even stand the smell. Been without a cig for the last 2 years.

But if you enjoy it why quit?
Dont overdo it, just put a limit to urself and dont go past that, the consequences of everything and anything are always fatal, so u should not quit doing something you enjoy imo.
If you are really concerned i guess u could look into nicotine vaporizers

The best way to quit, is to put your self into a situation where you cannot have one if you even wanted too, for about 2+ weeks.

Last year I was going on a 3 week mountain climbing expedition, and on a whim, i decided to leave my cigs at home and try quitting.
It wasn't easy, really it was mainly the first week that wasn't easy, after that 1 week mark i had no problems, but by putting myself into a situation like that, enabled me to see that I don't actually need them, and after awhile i didn't even want one.

you either will or you wont. same thing with fat people, lonely people. do it for yourself or dont. only the first few days of quitting smoking are any hard.

This is completely bullshit. I've tried to quit in the past and after 3 days of not being able to have one I'm having significant trouble. Most others who smoke will say the same.

Anyways I quit when I was diagonsed with cancer, really didn't see another way I would have been able to quit. If it's not a problem for you, you should be able to willpower it easily without other things. Finish off what ones you have left and try to stop buying them. Unless you have a serious problem that you won't admit you'll be fine if you work at it.

Patches actually helped me a lot. Although my best advise is to not hang out with people who smoke. It is always going to be much harder if all your mates are constantly lighting up in front of you.

@ bold. I used to think this way too, I maintained a healthy lifestyle despite smoking for ~6 years. But it does catch up with you eventually.

I saw my grandfather in hospital before he died, hobbling down the hallway for a cig, coughing so hard he could barely breath all the while with an oxygen tank rolling behind him. It didn't look like a fun way to go to me.

first time I tried to stop smoking,I failed and started smoking half a pack/day...second time I tried,I failed and started smoking pack/day....by this formula,I can't try stop smoking again, coz I'd be dead in 2 years...
I've been smoking for 7 years now..can't say it doesn't affect me,but it's not that bad..With my luck,I'll proly get hit by a car anyway,so right now I'm not afraid of dying of cancer..
anyway,good luck,I hope you'll hold on ;)
