they eat any insect that walks into the trap
and yes they will eat you

Also, you can order seeds online, but they're fairly hard to sprout, and yes they're legal.

I actually am an avid carnivorous plant grower and have grown many flytraps over the years.

2. Off of the internet. Plenty of sites. You can also get half-mangled, dying ones from stores.
3. Yes.
4. The traps on a Venus Flytrap are only about an inch big.

you can pre-order them from steins if you have one in your state.
but i think you can pre-order them in any home depot stores or menards.
i have one and it does eat almost any kind of insects..except the big ones
they need to stay in a cool place though...they don't like sun light that much
