We've all probably had a few of those dreams where you know you are dreaming and can do whatever you want. This 'awareness of awareness of dreaming' (wierdly worded I know) is called lucid dreaming.
I've recently become infatuated with this idea and have been trying to achieve lucidity through many different techniques and routine rituals.

I imagine there are at least some d2jsp'ers familiar with this, but any experienced lucid dreamers out there willing to enlighten us with some tips or knowledge?
I learned what I know about the topic through www.dreamviews.com (which I found through google)

I'd love to try and answer some questions you have about lucid dreams too!

Most of my recent dreams have become lucid partway through.

thats cool that its happening multiple times! by 'partway through' do you mean that you somehow realized that you were dreaming? or how did the lucidity come about?
i understand its hard to remember too :wallbash:

ive been wanting to lucid dream more. its been happening for me about once a week. ive been able to recall about 3-6 dreams each night now from keeping a dream journal.

some tips i've heard:
-keep a dream journal (write the dreams down immediately when you wake up.. dont try to analyze them just write it down. This should help you remember your dreams better and you can find patterns that are specific to you so that can learn to know when your in a dream)
-while your awake, when you enter a room make a habit to knock on the wal or flip the light switchl as you enter. In dreams lightswitches usually dont work and knocking on walls wont sound right
-meditate the morning before saying that you wish to have a lucid dream tonight over and over
-set an alarm clock to wake you up once your in the REM state then fall back asleep. It is suppose to increase the chance to lucid dream when you fall back asleep and has worked for me. (Not because i meant to do this but i was lazy and would want to sleep in ^^)

good luck man

I thought I was bound to this lifestyle of forgetting dreams too, until I started a dream journal. This week alone I've recalled 8 dreams in 4 nights (which is more than I could have guessed beforehand).

All of these are great suggestions! I've been setting multiple alarms (7:00,7:45,8:30,9:45 etc...) too and this morning I awoke from 3 different dreams! Hot damn was I surprised..
My goal too is to become more consistent in my capability to realize I'm dreaming
