Hello guys . going to ask here something i think my answer is right buy would like to know some more opinions.

Lets image a car in Highway is travelling at a speed of 80 Miles per hour. Imagine that we have a bee inside a bottle in the car and free her. Shes flying inside the car while the car is moving. She isnt flying ofc at 80mph but how can we explain that shes moving 80mph since shes inside the car and flying and such low speed?

Why this happens?

or.. i am wrong and shes @ 80mph? thats impossible i think :P

thats a question of relativity. relative to you in the car, the bee is only moving at about 2 or 3 miles an hour, but relative to people you pass, yes the bee is moving at around 80 miles an hour.

If you let the bee go while I'm inside the car I'm going to open the door and jump out at 160 Miles per hour to avoid getting stung.

This is the "what" part of the answer.

This is the "how" part of the answer. It's pretty obvious that even though you're sitting and not moving while you're inside the car, if you were to hit a brick wall, even though the car would stop moving, your body would continue to move at 80 mph and smash through the windshield (ignoring the effects of a seatbelt/airbag). Likewise, if you hit a brick wall, the bee would splat into the windshield.

Here's an interesitng tidbit from what I know of physics: If the bee is moving at 2 mph, and the car is moving at 80 mph, then with reference to the stationary road the bee is moving at 82 mph. But light, even if emitted by a moving source, is always moving at light speed.

this,

the air pocket is moving at 80 mph so the bee is moving at 80 mph but the bee dosent notice cause no air flow in the car

just like the planet is moving at like 18,000 miles per hour and were moving at that speed etc

Also, the bee picked up momentum. You know how you jerk forward when you suddenly stop in a car? Momentum.

i didnt feel like really expanding on my answer. if i did i would have had to write an essay and i didnt feel like it so i opted for the easy part of the explanation.

question seemed incredibly... ignorant to me. seems like a troll but ya never know.
