Honestly, you've already taken the first step. You have to acknowledge it before you can stop being scared of it - you'd be shocked how many people never acknowledge that fear and thus let it rule them subconsciously.
I guess the biggest thing that did it for me was to understand how many good things there are about death and aging. Aging brings with it wisdom, if you're willing to put in the effort it takes to derive that wisdom, so that's pretty cool. It also gives you more chances to just plain not give a fuck about nothin, which is always a fun sensation.
As far as death - well, the planet would fucking suck without death. Humans would have overpopulated the planet long ago, or else they would have decided to stop fucking and breeding, and you wouldn't be around. Plus, you think it's bad having to deal with old people who are set in their ways now? Imagine if you had to convince some ancient Egyptian that iPods aren't really Set's method of devouring your soul through your eyes. That'd be pretty fucked up.
Basically, you have to make peace with it. Look death in the eye (metaphorically speaking, of course) and tell it that you know it's going to get you eventually, but that you're going to have a damned fine time doing what you can to avoid the bastard.
Well said, although I believe humans have already overpopulated Earth, unfortunately.
