So was Einstein. That doesn't really mean what you seem to be implying. It's theoretical as opposed to experimental. Most "theoretical physics" is accompanied by large amounts of math. Experimental physics is just what it sounds like. You test theories based based on your data and you see how well your data match up with the theory.
