When we have not yet even discovered the vast complexity of the brain, nor explored all life on this earth? Or tamed the ocean and other aspects of this world?

vouch because ive herd we know more about the moon than we know about are oceans... we only been to the bottom once and it was like in the 1970's or somthing like that 25,00ft deep i think not sure lrlly but imo we should learn where we live b4 trying to learn outside worlds

we are exploring all of these things currently, not sure i get your point. mining the moon could provide us with great rescources, helping us all out.

because we need to get the fuck off this rock b4

1) Nuclear War
2) Bad Top-Secret Science Experiment
3) Astroid, turned metor strikes
4) Earth just blows up from the inside / Mass volcanic eruptions

and it would probably be nice to know where the fuck to go to have the best chance of survival.

we can figure out the human brain THERE and not be risking our entire civilization by having all of or metephoric (and genetic, i guess) eggs (no pun intended) in 1 basket...

Curiosity is in our nature, and since the heavens are seen frequently by looking up, and they are vastly unknown, we wonder all of the time what happening in space.
