Are Humans like any other animal? Thoughts on this?


Ill start of by saying yes, we are no different then any other animal. And for all of you who are going to use language as your main point i remind you that

1) we have proven gorillas can learn sign language
2) how can you say that animals dont have any language? do you understand every language spoken by humans? then how can you be so sure that you understand say the language of cats, dogs, even ants have a language

For those of you who use technology as your main argument i would like to point out that some monkeys use sticks as a tool to get to termites in wood. was our original technology much more advanced?
I would also like to challenge you to build a birds nest or an ant hill. I would also like to point out that my cat (Manx) can open doors. May not seem very hard to you but try it when ur 1 foot tall and you got paws instead of hands.

So ya please post what you think, however use EVIDENCE, otherwise your argument is nothing more then an uneducated opinion.
(lets have a long debate so i can get some posts!)

Most ppl would argue that we are above animals but i guess not here

Except turtles. Turtles are awesome.

we are classified as the homosapien species and are scientifically animals. to say we are no different than animals is fucking stupid however. though our social habits, technologies, congregational skills, and violence can be considered similar to other animals, it is not by ANY means identical. we are drastically different and though the core of our habits may be reflected in other species, they have very large differences and are quite unique
