nice catch. i went fishing out on a river here in VA and i didn't have that kind of luck. caught a few smaller bass but threw em back. I'd have kept those prizes though.

I do throw most of them back to be a good sportsman and keep the population up, but I love fish and have to keep a couple here and there :) I fillet them, cut them into fairly thin pieces, roll them in flour then pan fry them until their crispy. The only spices I put on them is salt and pepper. In my opinion panfried>deep fried, and flour>batter, any day. :)

Lol. Hey merle, didn't notice it was you until i clicked ''small mouth bass'' Just did some really good fishing this weekend here (Ontario). my buddy just picked up a nice pricecraft so we took it out for the weekend. didn't catch many big bass, small or large mouth. My buddy caught a decent sized pike and then just basically a bunch of small perch/sunfish. still a fun time out on the water though.
