This fossil that will shatter the notion of creation once again into an oblivion:

Quote (CNN)
Scientists hailed Tuesday a 47-million-year-old fossil of an ancient "small cat"-sized primate as a possible common ancestor of monkeys, humans and other primates.

Scientists say the fossil, dubbed "Ida," is a transitional species, living around the time the primate lineage split into two groups: A line that would eventually produce humans and monkeys, and another that would give rise to primates such as lemurs.

The fossil was formally named Darwinius masillae, in honor of the anniversary of Charles Darwin's 200th birthday.

"This is the most complete primate fossil before human burial," said Dr. Jorn Hurum, of the Natural History Museum at the University of Oslo, who led the study of the fossil, a young female primate.

"And it's not a few million years old; it's 47 million years old," Hurum said, speaking at a news conference at the American Museum of Natural History in New York.

The fact is this fossil explains the evolutionary ancestry of Humans, and most primates. This is absolutely shattering as the touted "missing link"

What a find for science, take that you pesky Creationists!

you miss the point of Religion ...

every priest, the pope, every christian knows that humans evolved from primates (or u must be really dumb) ...
religion is for many people not "God made us all in 7 days" but more a way of living ... treating eachother good, the way u want to be treated yourself.

i don't get why they call things "transitional species" .... isn't everything a potential "transitional" species?

Not really, that is where you are wrong. You don't know that most people who are deeply religious do not believe in Evolution, the two are incompatible.

You're wrong, a majority of religious accept Evolution as truth, they just believe that God was the driving force behind it. That being said looks more like a reptilian to me.

You can see fur in the fossil.

Many religious people to accept evolution as truth, but people who don't accept evolution are usually deeply religious. I think thats what he's driving at.

He's also talking about in the United States where less than half the population thinks evolution is what created diversity on this planet. You know the country that believes in evolution less than the US? Turkey. You know who's ahead of us? Everyone else.

Carbon dating is completely wrong, even though it's been proven to be right, so that thing could be 10 years old or a million years old.

"God(s)" are intagible beings created by people who are too weak to go through each day with certainty and reason. Science will always outsmart religion, prove it wrong, and always win.

47 million years old FTW!!!
