ever notice how most animals are symmetric (at least in external appearance)? I wonder why this is?

in evolution some things seem to be best.
but it would be better to have 12 fingers imo

Due to how cells divide in organisms, asymmetry in organisms is fairly usual in at least one dimension, with biological symmetry also being common in at least one dimension.

Fucking lucky mother fucker.. at least my fingers are extremely long.

yeah

for some people it is in the center, and for some people it is on the right side. However, for most people it is on the left. And we only have one heart because we only NEED one heart.

If the true need for humans to have two hearts had at some point in history become evident, then through time and years of evolution, only the strongest of humans (those with 2 hearts) would have survived and reproduced. Thus, future generations of humans would have two hearts. Evolution is amazing. But as it is, we only need one heart.
