I do and I got just over an acre myself. It takes a lot of upkeep especially if you got a garden on your lawn as well/trees/bushes/etc.
I also feed a lot of birds/wildlife as well so the best perc is when your lawn is perfectly procured and your getting visited by all sorts of birds and other creatures it makes the work worthwhile.
I don't have many hobbies outside playing hockey once a week with old friends so I take a lot of pride in making my property look nice.
It'll be bitter sweet but going to be moving this summer and thinking of all the trees I planted that are now huge as well as bushes etc. but that's why my next house MUST have an acre of land. I love it. For most people their house is their investment and to not spend time doing upgrades on your house/lawn while you live there is dumb. I'm now a lot more learned when it comes to landscaping so my next house my property will look even nicer and I don't have to hire anyone to do anything I can do it all myself.
1 acre isn't too much it's just enough just gotta get a routine down of maybe cutting half your lawn on tuesday and other half wednseday
