Gears 3 Glitches

Anyone Else Experience Strange Glitches That Lead To Interesting Gamer Stories?



Myrrah - End Game Glitch

Me and a buddy of mine were playing through on insane difficulty, 2 players, on standard
We had gotten all the way through the game to Myrrah at the top of the tower
Few strange things happened:
* (A) Myrrah was taking infinate damage from hammer of dawn blasts and would not attempt to climb the tower to initiate the final battle sequence
* (B) The Theron Guard spawns would not stop (No really, they wouldn't stop spawning)
* (C) Our COG NPCs stopped functioning, they were pointing at the ground with their rifles and walking in circles around pillars, doing nothing

This happened at the final checkpoint, when the glitch occured
Even when we would reload the checkpoint, this glitch was still happening
We decided to keep playing because this was interesting and the game had provided us an insanely unique challenge by freak accident
And we were also curious as to see if we could figure out how to *unglitch* Myrrah so that we could finish the game and not have to restart the Chapter

Long story short, from the final checkpoint to the fire bug's death, it took us almost an hour to kill Myrrah (withought reloading the checkpoint)
We must have killed 80 or more Theron spawns (this is no joke) they would not stop spawning
It had gotten so bad at one point, that if you were to run around the tower, trying to escape fire, you could have easily counted 20 or more Theron Guards
There were so many fucking lancer rounds being fired from every direction that there wasn't even time to stop and fire back (rarely was there a moment to stop and chainsaw a Theron and move on, let alone hammer Myrrah)
We had to have gone through 6-8 hammer respawns each, (that's both of us, refilling our hammers, 6-8x) Yes, Myrrah ate like 12-16x fully filled bars of hammer blasts before she finally re-entered the correct sequence
Somehow the game (unglitched) and Myrrah did enter the final animation and we did kill her

We have since tried to re-create this glitch so that we could youtube it but we have had no success
It just all acts normally now





We did have a similar glitch occur in act 2 where the floating barge circles the platform and drops the Theron Guards with torque bows
It had similar aspects in this glitch:
* (A) The NPCs just aimed at the floor and sat there, doing nothing
* (B) The barge circled and dropped way more spawns than it was supposed to

But this lasted no where near as long
